Production
As the name implies, this phase involves producing the hydrocarbons from the reservoir, processing the hydrocarbons and delivery of the hydrocarbons under the terms of the production contract.
Decommissioning
Following the cessation of production of an oil and gas facility, the wells are abandoned and the redundant facilities are either made safe, re-used, recycled or disposed of.
