The OGX Waimea field is in the Campos Basin in block BM-C-41, Brazil. Water depth ranges from 120m North to 140m South of the development area.
Phase 1 of development consisted of early well testing and Pilot phases combined. Well testing involved the tie-back of a production well to an STP Buoy turret moored FPSO situated 2km North West of the well. The remaining Pilot phase included the tie-back of two further production wells and two injection wells.
Each production well is connected to the STP buoy via a production line, a service line and an umbilical. The two water injection wells are also tied back with a single flowline and an umbilical.
PDi were contracted to provide engineering support for both the onshore pre-engineering and offshore operations. All Engineering work was performed at the PDi office in Aberdeen, with ad-hoc visits to Brazil as required.
